About Me

Hi! I’m Lucy, and I’m so happy you’re here at Lucy’s Lunch Box. I’m married, and we have one lively kid who’s 4 years old. Our little one keeps us on our toes and adds so much fun to our days!

We love to spend weekends baking cookies, but sometimes they turn into our funny play-doh projects. It’s a messy, happy time, and laughter fills our kitchen as we create edible masterpieces.

I have a habit of singing random songs while I cook. It makes my kid giggle and join in with their tiny voice. Cooking together turns into our special little concert at home!

My family means everything to me. Their smiles and hugs make every moment special. I wouldn’t trade our sweet, silly, love-filled days for anything. They keep my heart full and my lunch box always packed with joy!

How I Got the Idea to Start My Blog

The idea to start my blog, Lucy’s Lunch Box, really came from my family! My kid loves my cooking adventures, and one day said, “Mom, we should share our fun with everybody!” Their excitement and my husband’s encouragement made me think, “”Why not?””

At first, I was a bit lost about how to begin. I didn’t know much about blogging and felt overwhelmed with the idea. I wondered how I’d put my recipes out there without a clue where to start. It was daunting, and I almost backed off.

But then, my husband nudged me. He said, “Lucy, you make cooking such a joy! Why not share that joy with others?” His words gave me the push I needed, making me feel like I could actually do it. I felt supported and ready to explore.

One big challenge was figuring out how to post regularly and capturing the essence of our fun with photos. I struggled with food photography, but over time—and lots of trial and error—I improved. Consistency was key, and I learned bit by bit.

I chose Pinterest for sharing my recipes because it seemed perfect for connecting with others who love food like I do. It’s a place where visuals speak, and I could share our colorful meals and happy moments with people who appreciate them too.

Despite the hurdles, I kept going. My family’s support and the joy I found in this journey made it worthwhile. Each step was fun, and looking back, I’m thrilled that I took the plunge into the blogging world, sharing our colorful and joyful kitchen adventures!

My Routine, Recipe Selection, and Photography

Every day starts with a whirlwind! I juggle getting my little one ready while planning meals. I try to make cooking fun by picking recipes together, so it feels like a yummy adventure we share as a family!

When I choose recipes, I like to find ones that are easy and will make everyone smile. Sometimes, I use family favorites, other times I try out seasonal ingredients or new ideas to keep our meals exciting and fresh!

I take care while preparing each recipe, making sure everything tastes just right. I love to add little touches, like colorful veggies or yummy spices, to make the dishes extra special and fun for everyone to enjoy!
